Vanessa Garcia, LPC

Vanessa Garcia is a faith based counselor specializing in working with children, couples and families.


Therapist Vanessa has always had a passion for working with children. She was a bilingual kindergarten teacher for 5 years and an Elementary School Counselor for 2 years. In 2012, she earned her Masters in School Counseling from the University of Saint Thomas and finished off her License Professional coursework at the University of Clear Lake.


Vanessa is happily married with two children. She loves to spend time with her family and is always grateful for the blessings in her life. She loves to run and exercise. She participates in half marathons around the Houston area. Vanessa also feels that as a parent it's important to engage and be present with your children.


Therapist Vanessa's gentle, noble personality and calm demeanor allow her to create a safe environment where trust is built in the therapeutic relationship. She encourages clients and feels there is no room to pass judgment. She loves her job as a counselor and feels very passionate about empowering her clients to make healthy decisions that will ultimately make them successful in life. Tameka Palmer, LPC


Tameka Palmer has always had the passion to help others and has gained experience in working with people from all different backgrounds and walks of life.  I am a firm believer that therapy should be a safe place where you can open up and speak freely and honestly. If you feel that your daily life is a struggle, I will work with you to help you understand your issues and help you discover new ways to cope.


I work with children, teens, adults, families, and couples.  My therapeutic approaches include cognitive behavioral, solution focused, mindfulness, narrative, collaborative, and client centered therapy.  I have had the experience in working with the following issues:  mental health-depression, anxiety, anger, mood swings; marriage, divorce, behavioral issues with children, grief and loss, PTSD, abuse/neglect, self-esteem, domestic violence, relationship and family issues, and life transitions.

 

I graduated from Lamar University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies.  I graduated from Our Lady of the Lake San Antonio with a Master of Science in Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy.  I worked for Children Protective Services for 7 years before joining the mental health field where I have worked in the community, inpatient hospital setting, as well as outpatient programs. In my free time I enjoy traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

 


Isela Saripella, M.A., LPC-S

Isela has had the opportunity to work with individuals from all walks of life and diverse backgrounds. It has been a rewarding experience for her to witness the positive changes made through counseling and to help create healthy relationships.


Isela has been trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), Eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR-trained), Play Therapy, family systems and motivational therapy. She has experience addressing concerns with depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties (couples, parent/child, siblings), grief and loss, life transitions and trauma. Other areas of experience include providing therapy for children and adolescents in foster care, at-risk adolescents, sexual abuse, physical abuse, post-traumatic symptoms, domestic violence and parenting.

 

Isela graduated from the Houston Graduate School of Theology with a Masters in Counseling and from the University of Houston-D with a Bachelors in Psychology. She is fluent in both Spanish and English and can provide therapy services in Spanish.


Isela lives with her husband and twin daughters. In her free time, she enjoys reading, taking walks in the neighborhood and spending time with her family.
